ECI provided remediation services to incorporate the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) National Provider Identifier (NPI) into the Online Provider System (OPS) and an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Translator.  These remediation services included three primary activities:  Project Management; Enhancement, Maintenance and Continued Operation of the Online Provider System (OPS); and the Design, Development, Test and Implementation of a technical solution to accommodate the NPI requirements.

ECI performed System Analyst responsibilities for this agency’s EHR project.  Responsibilities included; review, analysis and compilation of requirements for EHR systems developed by other states, federal entities, and standards-setting organizations, working with county mental health program directors and subject matter experts and designated stakeholders, including mental health care consumers and family members, to define minimum California requirements for Personal Health Records (PHRs) for the 58 county mental  health programs, translation of all requirements, business rules and best practices into a set of functional specifications that will become part of the statewide long-term EHR technology plan.

ECI awarded contact to develop FSR for the procurement of a enterprise accounting system to support enhanced payment, receivable collection and reporting.

ECI helped extend functionality on an existing custom built web portal using Microsoft technology and tools as the platform with complex interfaces including legacy, county, and hospital systems.  The system is a public facing website system using few static HTML pages that allows for extreme flexibility and end-user administration supporting over 4000 users statewide.

ECI awarded contract to enhance legacy claims management system to include new functionality to provide better correction facilities for State of CA counties.  Project involved development new features, modifying existing legacy components as well as evaluating and enhancing some business processes.

ECI assisted with maintenance, upgrading, and enhancing this State of CA agency’s Budget System.

ECI is awarded contract to extend existing application which provides procurement and contracts management functionality for CA State agency.

ECI provided IPO and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Workplan, Technology Assessment, reviewed Implementation Plans, QA, etc., services for agency’s project.

ECI provided expert development resources to build a new, fully interactive web based application for use by the five CA state hospitals.

ECI performed security penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for several large-scale networks and conducted ongoing risk assessments on the infrastructure, applications, and systems to ensure compliance with policies and standards.

ECI provided expert Microsoft development resources in support of this agency’s main processing application. The system is a state of the art system built entirely using Microsoft programming technologies and components.  The system is a distributed web application which is being used across all 58 counties across the state of California.

ECI is awarded a Master Enabling Agreement to provide to all CA State University campuses and facilities DW related services for Business requirements and logical data model design, DW development, Business Intelligence (BI) and report development, and Oracle database consulting.

ECI assisted with maintenance, upgrading, and enhancing this State of CA agency’s Budget System.

ECI provided project management services for this agency’s Division of Food, Drug and Radiation Safety, Radiologic Health Branch.

ECI performed system analysis services for this agency’s EHR (Electronic Health Record) project that included analysis and compilation of requirements for EHR systems developed by other states, federal entities, and standards-setting organizations, and working with the 58 county mental health departments.

ECI performed services to identify data elements for one of this agency’s databases that will permit the measurement of correctional system success and facilitate the development of business needs for their research office.

ECI designed, developed, and deployed a new Utilization Report Data Mart within this agency’s existing data warehouse environment and performed additional support and maintenance related to the support of the existing environment.
